Velas Resorts Experts is a proprietary Program of Velas Resorts (Promotora Turistica Punta Bete, SA de CV) created exclusively for Travel Agents. Velas Resorts Experts (“Program”) is available to retail travel agents worldwide. IATA, ARC, CLIA, IATA TIDS or any other Travel Industry certification is required. We reserve the right to modify the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice to you. Therefore, we recommend that you read these Terms and Conditions carefully each time you use the site.

The address you provide during registration will only be used to mail, upon successful completion of the Velas Resorts Experts program, a welcome packet certifying you as a Velas Resorts Expert. Your e-mail address will be used for communications regarding any Program messages which may include contests, incentives and news. Velas Resorts will not sell or provide this information to third parties.

Additional Terms of Eligibility for Incentive Bonuses:

Agent must have successfully completed the Velas Resorts Experts course and show a status of Expert in the Program’s website.

I. Qualified bookings:

All individual bookings of one to nine suites per record from an Agent qualify for one bonus under the Program; a family with one or more suites qualifies for one bonus; minimum three-night stays per suite; bookings will only be valid after guest travel dates and must be paid in full. Bonus does not apply for Travel Industry, fam trips or complimentary stays. Group bookings (from 10 rooms onward on a same record) DO NOT qualify for this particular Velas Resorts Experts Bonus Incentive. Incentive bonuses do not apply for employees of Tour Operators or Wholesalers companies.

II. Qualified Methods of Booking Reservations:

  • Any booking made through your preferred Wholesaler, Tour Operator or Online Travel Agency.
  • Any booking made through a GDS.
  • Any direct booking made through a Velas Resorts reservations department.

III. Bonus payments:

Travel agents operating in Mexico will receive bonus via a deposit to their personal bank account. Agents operating elsewhere will receive a check made payable to the Travel Agent. Bonuses are not transferable. Bonuses must be claimed within 90 days of the client's check-out date. Any bonus claimed beyond the 90 day period will not qualify for a bonus payment. It is the responsibility of the agent to maintain a record of claimed bookings and to claim every 10th booking for an extra bonus.

IV. Taxes:

Recipients of incentive bonuses are solely responsible for Local, State or Federal taxes. A W-9 (for agents operating in the U.S.A.) and a W-8 (for agents operating elsewhere) must be on record with Velas Resorts.

General:

Velas Resorts (Promotora Turistica Punta Bete, SA de CV) may cancel, suspend or modify the “Program” for a particular user with no prior notice for the following reasons:

  • The breach of the present Terms & Conditions
  • Misrepresentation of any information or any misuse of Velas Resorts Experts Bonus Incentives ®
  • Infraction of any law or any national, regional or local regulation related to the use of the privileges established in VIP (Velas Incentive Program) ®
  • Fraud or abuse of any type.

Jurisdiction:

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of Mexico. You agree to be bound by these terms of use and consent to the jurisdiction and venue in the courts of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico once you click on the I AGREE button below.
